Hand built from stoneware clay, the sheep were stamped into the wet clay (using some wonderful wooden carved stamps made in India I found in a charity shop), then decorated with underglaze. For the final firing the sheep have been glazed with a transparent glaze and some white for their wool, with the remainder of the mug in my favourite Green Tea glaze.
The smaller of these (top in the first photo) holds around 375ml and the larger (bottom in the first photo), 415ml. Despite the colour in some of the photographs they are both the same green, not grey. I think the very green grass in the background in some of the photos has made them look more grey than they are IRL.
