Porcelain soap holder

Handbuilt in porcelain, this was decorated using mishima (wax and carved) and slip trailing techniques and coloured with an underglaze wash before being high fired with a translucent glaze. It is slightly concave on the top, to contain a soap bar, while the texture means the soap slits slightly proud of the dish allowing it to dry.  Very pretty.
